United regained their respect after their Scottish Cup exit with this fine win in this friendly match against Park Villa. In a game played in good spirit, Utd took the honours against a fine Park Villa side.
On a hard surface both teams tried to play good football and to a certain extent managed to despite the conditions.
As in most friendly matches, subs were used to their full extent as both sides tried to get everyone up to speed for the league and up matches ahead.
Goals from Burbidge, Carrick(2), McKay and finally O'Brien gave Utd a deserved victory.
