ABOUT THE TEAM

Well done to the boys for Winning the Glasgow Rangers 14s Invitational Football Tournament 20th July 08

Above the boys with the Dunbartonshire Football Development League Trophy presented to them by Club Ambassador Kenny McDowall. Big thank you to Kenny for attending the boys match and for staying on through a difficult day to present the boys with the trophy.

The team is currently moving into it's 6th season and is going from strength to strength. We played our first competitive season and won the Dunbartonshire Development League & League Cup. The core of our team is taken from the Drumchapel area with boys also from Clydebank, Old Kilpatrick, Dumbarton, Bearsden, Knightswood and Kelvindale. This has shown us the appeal of the club playing in the West of the City with the group of players we can attract.

The Under 14's strive to drive on the club ethos of achieving a playing pathway through the ranks and are well supported by the Parents of the boys. The team took part in the Mondial Pupilles International Football in Brittany in 2007 and the US Pribrac International Tournamen in Toulouse 2008. The boys have taken giant strides in their development as Youth football Players and have worked hard to improve there ability, attitude, skill levels and fitness.

At Drumchapel United we will continue to expose the players to experiences that will enhance there playing careers and lifeskills.
