West Regional Cup Final

Drum went into this game without Jo Clark who was MOM on both occasions when we beat Clydebank in the league this season as he missed his early flight home. Lee McLelland who has been superb for the Drum all season went in goals and captained the drum in Jo Clarks absence.
1st 20 mins chances for both sides but as game developed into 2nd part of 1st half Drum scored 2 and could have went into break with bigger lead. Harry got Drumchapels 1st nice build up play seen Craig pick ball 40 yards fromgoal and played lovly ball behind Bankies defence and into Harrys path and Harry did rest finishing well giving Bankies keeper no chance. Bankies had great chance to level with Lee saving superbly and at the other end Jamie Grmies missed great chance getting on the end of Craig Mcdonald corner but is effort from 2 yards went over the bar.
Harry got the Drum and his 2nd Siriki playing lovly ball over the tpp and Harry did rest lobbing Bankies keeper 2 nill Drum. Craigy then missed great chance for drum to go 3 up at the break his free kick narrowly wide of keepers left hand post. Just before half time and Bankies got 1 back and this when notice not having Jo in goals as Bankies player scored free header from inside 6 yard box.
2nd half both teams having a go and it was Clydebank got leveler big Clydebank forward scoring put his side level. However Drum never gave up and were rewarded 5 minutes later Crag Mcdonald picking ball up half way line and playing Harry in behind Clydebank defence. Harry still had alot to do but in this form was always favourite sprinting past Bankies defence and colly passing ball past the keeper 3-2 Drum.
With Bankies searching for leveler Drum sat in and seen the game out 3-2 winners and West cup champoins.
Superb result for the boys with Jo out and Lee missing at heart of the defence, boys showed again strength character this side has and secured memorable season with wiining the double.

Scorers Harry Clark 3, and also MOM and was awarded with West cup finals MOM.
scored superb hatrick, but also worked hard for the side as every player did in would have to say the best win for Drumchapel 1996-s since team formed due to circumstances losing our keeper.
