Drumchapel United FC(1993) were formed in the summer of 2005 with the aim of helping and encouraging young boys in and around the Drumchapel area with their football skills. As under 13's in their first season, the boys managed to win the league and Summer Cup. In 2006/7 the boys missed out narrowly in repeating the previous seasons success. Such has been the growing reputation of the team that many boys from outside the Drumchapel area now play for the side.
At the start of the new season 2007/8 the boys managed to reach the final of the first Rangers FC International Tournament in Glasgow. Despite being favourites to win the tournament the team surprisingly lost in the final.
