Welcome to the new website for Drumchapel United Football Club. The club was established in 2001 and has now went from strength to strength.
In January 2008 Former Celtic Coach and Current Rangers First team Coach, Kenny McDowall agreed to become the Ambassador for Drumchapel United. Kenny was brought up in Drumchapel and attended Kingsridge Secondary School in Drumchapel. The club are excited about working closely with a coach so highly regarded in Scottish Football.
Last season the Amateur 1st team lifted the Scottish cup under the guidance of John Black in front of a noisy crowd at Hampden Park.
This season the under 19's have just lifted the Scottish Cup after a 2-1 victory against Bonnyton Thistle and a number of teams top their league sections.
When Drumchapel U8's won the 'Kits for Kids' in 2007 they went to Italy to play in a tournament and returned having won the cup against foreign opposition. They also had the opportunity to meet professional Italian players during the trip.
As you can see there are a number of teams at each level and all teams wll be looking to strengthen their clubs for the start of next season. If anyone is interested then send an email to the club.
